Hi guys,

The Australian Championships and Olympic Games Trial wrapped up for the senior athletes in Sydney last week. With only Joshua Jefferis and I eligible for Olympic selection, all eyes were on us during the competition.

The men's senior competition was contested over two days with Queensland edging out Victoria for the team title on day one. Jefferis was the highest placing all around gymnast taking home the title ahead of fellow Queenslander Naoya Tsukahara.

Unfortunately, I had a tough f irst day of competition however managed to pick up a gold medal on the floor exercise, silver on horizontal bar and bronze on the parallel bars on day two. Jefferis went on to collect a gold on horizontal bar and bronze on rings.

With the past 6 months worth of results to consider, the selectors now have the task of deciding who will represent Australia in London with the announcement expected to be made late this week. The non selected athlete will be named as reserve and will also travel to the UK to attend the training camp prior to the games.

The Australian Championships were once again a great event and I would like to thank all involved for the support that I received.
