Finally May is almost over… I know I shouldn’t wish away my days, but I cannot help it at the moment!
It has been a very interesting month since returning from Japan. Having missed the A qualifier for the Olympic Games by 0.002 of a second, I have had to put my trust in my coach Matt, and be guided by him to get back into a solid block of training before I head off to Europe on June 20th.
The situation of playing the waiting game, has been tough to say the least, but I am in this situation, so best to just keep truckin’ on. I have chosen to be happy, not sad, I have chosen to train hard, not be weak, I have chosen to stay in control of what I can, train hard, look after my mind and body and allow myself to be happy. Reality is I have had an unreal season, personal bests in both the 100m and 200m, two National titles and the Stawell Women’s Gift winner.
I am so grateful for all the continued support I receive from across the country, all the twitter messaged, Facebook posts, emails and text messages, I have felt the love and it defiantly brings a smile to my face.
Training has been going so well, in every aspect. I am stronger, more powerful, technically better, and faster! It has been great to be home, get into a solid routine with training and continue building to run even faster in a few months time. The other aspect I have enjoyed about being home, is giving my mind a rest from racing.
This YouTube clip is from Monday the 28th May, I had a technical block session.
This YouTube clip is from Tuesday the 29th May, in the gym, Power Clean 90kg (after 80kg x3 and 85kg x2)
Not too much else to report, but I am going great, training so well and look forward to what I can produce in Europe this year!
