The Australian winter is finally here!

Perisher has been open for a few weeks now and looking fantastic so make sure you’re getting your ski/boarding trip planned for this winter.

I’m not down at the Snowy Mountain’s just yet, I’m still working on my fitness. I’m about 7 weeks behind the other AUS Ski Cross athletes because of the triathlon’s and 100km challenge I did but I will make that up in no time I will head down to Jindabyne to help out at the Interschools with Kings and Ravenswood in the next week which is always fun.

I’m pretty excited for our pre-season, this is the first year I haven’t been sick or injured since 2008!

Program’s are getting close to being finalised and looking forward to hearing about our plans.

My teamie, Sami Kennedy-Sim and I have hooked up with Protech Dent Mouth Guard which has been a fun and exciting time for us both. Mouth guards do prevent a lot of concussions which is the main reason I got in touch with them in Feb but what’s also cool is that they are 30% stronger then any other mouth guards on the market so my teeth will always stay nice! The first time I wore Protech at the Winter X Games 2012, I didn’t even notice I had it in, the cool colours make it even more fun.

I spoke at Ravenswood Girls and Pymble Ladies College recently. It’s great to be able to inspire and motivate the young girls super keen on skiing and/or snowboarding.

Not to much else is happening yet, just training hard and getting ready for another fun year of Ski Cross!
