Matt: Another big win, KO in 44 seconds?
Lucas: Yeah it was a bit of a shock for me to be honest, even though he's had his losses he's a durable guy...
Matt: Leading into the fight were you expecting it to be such a quick fight?
Lucas: I wasn't expecting it to be that quick at all.. He's known for being an awkward guy and spoils his opponents so my plan was to keep him at a distance and use my reach to control the fight..
Matt: Have you ever had that lethal right hand tested for the amount of power it exerts?
Lucas: I haven't had it tested no but according to my trainer, I have more power in my left hook than my right so when I start landing that too I'm just going to be known for my power and not just my right hand...
Matt: Weighed in at 117kg your lightest ever for any fight Boxing or MMA, do you feel this is the kind of weight you would like to fight at?
Lucas: I'm really finding my way now with my weight, I'm doing a good combination of cardio and weights and have found a happy medium in that regards. I've always been big but I've Also been chunky and think it's time to be the boxer I am and keep my weight down. I don't need the weight for MMA so I'm aiming to sit at 115kgs for my career as a boxer
Matt: Do you find with your power that you go through training partners on a regular basis?
Lucas: I never throw my power in training, I've sparred many people and have only thrown a proper right hand once and kod him but that was his fault.... Sparring is about learning and progressing so I rarely throw a right hand in sparring...
Matt: You have a few tattoos, which is your favourite tattoo and what does it mean to you?
Lucas: It's getting hard now to determine which is my fav because they are either joining or are meaningful in all different ways, I have my kids tattooed on me, I have the big daddy symbol, I have a few saying's that I live by, and I also just have some beautiful patterns that I've always liked... At this stage because of what it is and where it is I would say the most popular is the lips...
Matt: Back home to Aust now, are you looking forward to having the missus and kids to keep you under control again?
Lucas: Now that I'm back in oz I'm having a week off from everything and going to just rest and try and get myself back into my routine.... Everyone is wrapped to have me back and it's them that keep me grounded in a big way
Matt: What are your favourite post-fight foods?
Lucas: Without a doubt I love macas... I don't drink at all and I've made my way to a macas for a post fight meal celebration for almost every single fight I've ever had...
Matt: What are your plans from here?
Lucas: My plans from here are to keep training and learning, fight as much as I can and gain valuable experience, try to keep my fan base building, and keep knocking people out in the process...
Matt: Anything you would like to add?
Lucas: To my fans I would like to say THANKYOU for following all my progress and staying interested in my journey, and I hope to be having a fight or two here in oz again soon to showcase my talent for the Aussie public to come and support and enjoy... THANKYOU to my sponsors VM DRILLING, FIGHT LABS, KINGS OF INK, my friends, family, and my gorgeous girl for all their continuous help and support....
