How did you become involved in Strongman/Powerlifting?
I competed in sportsmodel in 2011 whilst training at a powerlifting gym. I then started dating a powerlifter and he showed me the sport and now I love it!.

Bachelor of psychology, cert 3 and cer4 in fitness.
What is your current business/job/location?
Public servant and fitness instructor
What is the reason you continue to be involved in the sport/motivation?
I love to train hard, and lift heavy weights. There are also a great group of people involved in the sport and the females I compete with are also very supportive and great advocates.
Your Favourite Domestic and International Strongman/Powerlifters?
fav domestic powerlifter is lucy thompson. aka the machine. Fav international powerlifter is laura phelps. she is amazing!
Do you find that strongman/powerlifting has helped you in your day to day life, how so?
I am functionally strong.. plus its helpful for moving heavy shit around and carrying people ;)
People that have inspired you not only in sport but in life aswell?
Mike Tyson, Ali, my parents,
Your Interests and Hobbies?
cooking, all things health related, helping others reach their goals, and now learning as much as i can about powerlifting ;)
One tip or quote which continues to inspire you?
Quitters never win.. and winners never quit.and my personal fav.. F.S.U which i have tattooed. Probs shouldn't write what it means on here though :).
Happiest memory
Coming second at the State titles in cross country in year 12.

compete at the world titles in powerlifting inspire others to live healthy and active lifestyles

What one word would you use to describe yourself?
Determined
Do you have a sporting mentor?
Glen Stewart. Since training with Glen I have learnt so much about powerlifting, the methods used to increase performance/capacity for lifting weight. Hes a great teacher and says it how it is.
Training Background(sports, etc)?
competed in athletics and crosscountry for over 15 years and was in the hunter academy of sport. Placed at a state level.
Biggest Lifts and Favourite Lifts?
best comp lifts RAW (no wraps) 14okg squat, 77.5kg bench and 167.5kg deadlift
Training Philosophy?
F.S.U.. or If you dont bleed... you are not lifting heavy enough
Favourite Foods/Type of diet you follow?
I eat clean 80% of the time. Lots of whole foods, high protein, moderate carb/fats.
Favourite Bodypart to Train plus training spilt(training schedule + fav session)
LEGS!!!! Train 2 times most days. GPP every other day and 2 heavy and 2 speed sessions a week.
Describe a typical training day
5am wake up Teach fitness class
7am- GPP
8.30-5 Work Train people
6.30 Train
8.30 Eat dinner
9pm- bed then do it all again the next day :)
Worst injury you have suffered
Swollen achilles when i was a distance runner just before a national comp.
What is your favourite movie?
The Hangover.
What one lesson did you take from your parents?
Treat others as you would like to be treated.
How do you deal with temptation?
Remind myself of the end result.
What is your favourite music/band/song?
Till I collapse- Eminem
What is your biggest fear?
Regret
Do you believe "never giving up" is the difference between making it and not making it in any sport?
Yes quitters never win... and winners never quit.
Have you ever failed at anything? If yes how did you overcome this?
Learning to ride a bike.... Lets say I lost a lot of skin in the process..
What inspired you to succeed?
People saying I couldn't and the support of my partner.
What did you want to be as a kid growing up?
A 800m runner.
Who has been your greatest rival?
I think it will be Lucy Thompson Aka ' the machine' and Rach Ogorman Aka ' The Monster'
Who would you like to compete against?
The best female lifters in the country and the world.
Competitions you have competed in including placings?
2011- CAPO National Deadlift challenge 3rd in ACT and 5th in aus
2012- GPC NSW State Titles - 1st overall female
2012- CAPO NSW State Titles - 1st overall female - 2nd in single bench comp
May - Entry level Strongman comp- 5th female.

I am so happy to have fallen into powerlifting. It is such a great sport and all the lifters are so supportive. At the end of the day though, what i love most is its you.. against the platform and nothing else. There is no greater challenge than beating yourself.
