How did you become involved in diving?
I was a very energetic kid and played lots of sports, but i was obsessed with flipping around on the trampoline at home and so I tried a diving holiday clinic and it all started from there!
Do you have a sporting hero?
I admire Cathy Freeman, but i look up to so many athletes who have reached the top.

12

19years old, 161cm short!
Accreditations/degrees/qualifications?
Currently studying a Bachelor of Exercise Science at Griffith University
What motivates you to continue in your sport?
I want to become the best diver i can be, so everyday i try to get better and better. I love diving and i love the benefits that you get from working hard...travelling the world and competing for Australia
Sporting Background?
I did 7 years or Little Athletics and netball, and i also played State Soccer
What is your current business/job/full time athlete?
I am an athlete and studying too
Who do you compete for club/state?
At a National level i compete for my club Gannets, VIS and AIS and internationally i compete for Australia
People that have inspired you both in sport and life?
My family inspires me to achieve my best because of the enormous support, in life i am inspired by people who live meaningful, happy and healthy lives
Great experiences that have happened in your life?
Winning a bronze medal at the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai
Your interests and hobbies?
Sport, shopping, beach, movies
One tip or quote that continues to inspire you?
If it was easy- everyone would be good at it
Family Background(where did you grow up) and Current Family
I grew up in Melbourne in a sporty family...Mum and Dad were taxi drivers!
What is your happiest memory?
Times with my family and when i have won medals overseas
Were you always one of the better athletes growing up?
I was pretty multi-talented and always competitive at all the sports i did. I was so driven to win everything that i worked hard at anything i took part in!
What is one thing you would share with the children wanting to follow in your footsteps?
Hard work is what gets you places.
How has being involved/playing your sport changed your life?
I had to grow up and learn to be an individual at a much younger age, without these skills i couldn't have survived with moving states and travelling overseas without my parents doing everything for me!

My family

All my coaches have contributed to my diving career- Hui Tong, Xiangning Chen, Mr Wang, Matt Adamson, Mat Helm, Max Swain

Anything fresh, fruity and tasty
Your typical weekly training split and favourite training session?
Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri morning- 6-8am
Weeknights 2-5:30pm
Saturday 7-10am
My favourite session is Saturday because it is the end of the week!
Worst injury you have suffered?
Badly sprained my ankle on Christmas in 2008
What is the ultimate prize in your sport?
Olympic GOLD!
What do you find to be the toughest aspect of your sport?
Coping physically and mentally in such a technical, tiring and precision sport
What is your favourite movie?
The Holiday, The Hunger Games
What one lesson did you take from your parents?
Be yourself, no matter what others think
What is your favourite music/band/song?
Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, One Direction, Ed Sheeran
What is your biggest fear?
Spiders, insects, bugs etc.
Do you believe "never giving up" is the difference between making it and not making it in any sport?
Yes!
What inspired you to succeed?
The amount of support i have behind me. People believe in me so i want to do well for not only myself but for them too.
What did you want to be as a kid growing up?
A paediatrician! Then i did work experience at the Children's hospital and couldn't deal with the needles and blood!
Your future goals in your sports, and goals when you finish your sport?
Olympic gold, and after diving i want to work with something to do with sport
Favourite sporting team?
Richmond Tigers!
If you could have dinner with 5 people who would they be?
Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Harry Styles, Brad Pitt and Miranda Kerr
What is one item you cannot live without?
My phone!
